We’re looking for a Forward Deployed Product Manager (FDP) to contribute to Sendbird’s vision to connect businesses and individuals, empowering them to achieve more than ever before. As the FDP, you will be responsible for leading high-impact customer deployments of our AI Agent platform—from pilot to production—while acting as the connective tissue between customer feedback and Sendbird’s core product roadmap.
We are a hybrid work environment requiring a minimum of 3 days/week in our San Mateo office.
Who You Are
- You have 2 -3 years of previous experience in a PM or other product-facing role
- You have a CS degree or other technical equivalent
- You understand code but want to be more business-facing
- You are a mission-driven builder who thrives at the edge of product, engineering, and customer success.
- You enjoy fast-paced environments, love solving messy problems, and have a strong desire to make an immediate impact through close collaboration with real users.
- You have the confidence to lead externally and the humility to learn quickly.
- You are spontaneous and adventurous - this role will require frequent travel, sometimes on short notice
What You Will Do
- Work directly with customers to understand their business needs and design production-grade agents that deliver measurable value.
- Capture insights from the field and turn them into clear feedback for product and engineering teams.
- Contribute to internal tooling and playbooks that enable faster and more reliable future deployments.
What You Bring
- Technical familiarity with AI tools, frameworks, or agent-based systems.
- Curiosity about how AI can solve real-world business problems.
- A hands-on mindset—you’re excited to build, test, and iterate alongside engineers and customers.
- Ability to work directly with customers and distill complex or vague needs into clear product outcomes.
- High ownership and comfort with ambiguity—you move fast, adapt quickly, and drive progress without waiting for perfect plans.
Even Better If You Offer (optional)
- Prior 0→1 product experience—ideally having built and launched something from scratch, such as in a founder or early team role.
- Experience working with agent frameworks, LLM pipelines, or AI/ML tooling.

Pay Transparency
For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function, level, and geographic location. To determine our ranges, we utilize a variety of compensation data benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this role is $140,000 - $175,000. This range is specific to the San Francisco Bay market. We consider several factors when making final compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs which may cause your specific offer to vary from the amount listed above.
