Job Title: Customer Data Analyst

Location: Guadalajara, Mexico - Remote

At Salesloft, our Data Analysts are pivotal to our company's success. You will be a key member of our fast-growing and high-performing Customer Org at Salesloft, which includes Success, Services, and Customer Education.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking an experienced, results-oriented Data Analyst who can enable our customer-facing teams to advise customers on data-informed business decisions. We are interested in people with analytical prowess and business acumen, who are motivated by solving real world problems and exploring new analytical approaches. This is an internally facing role with direct impact on how we help our customer base realize powerful business outcomes.

On a day-to-day basis, you will;

  • Collect, process, and perform statistical analyses on large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and relationships in the data and ultimately create actionable insights to improve sales and revenue generation productivity for Salesloft customers
  • Create benchmarking reports which can be share widely across our customer base and provide best practice guidance for revenue orchestration efforts
  • Support the creation of thought leadership pieces with data-backed insights and recommendations
  • Create dashboards, data models/visualizations to monitor & measure the value our customers are getting from Salesloft
  • Develop best practices & training materials for data-savvy customers as well as for Saleslofters
  • Partner with the Value Realization and Customer Success teams to investigate results and develop recommendations in support of QBRs and value reporting
  • Champion the impact of data quality and integrity company wide
  • Assist in designing and implementing data collection systems and other strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and quality
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data analytics tools and techniques

THE SKILL SET:

  • 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL Simple and Python
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau Desktop and/or Power BI
  • Track record of using data to form recommendations that secure desired business outcomes
  • Experience developing data visualization needed to show insights/recommendations for a manager and executive audience
  • Some experience with data modeling, such as advanced Excel functions, LookML and/or forecasting experience. Familiarity with SQL and databases concepts and terminology
  • Experience with statistical methods such as regression and hypothesis testing
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and experience with ETL processes
  • Past experience leveraging data models to show the value of a SaaS product is preferred
  • Past experience in the SaaS industry is preferred
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU'LL:

  • Learn the Data & Analytics tech stack. Understand how we ingest, model, visualize and surface data. Observe how we leverage data to inform our decision making process
  • Meet with key Customer Org stakeholders to understand their part of Salesloft’s whole and what metrics define their success
  • Shadow Saleslofters across the organization to understand how they use Salesloft, what process governs their day to day
  • Set your MOaT (Metrics, Obstacles and Tactics plan) with your manager and develop an action plan to achieve them
  • Begin 1:1s with your manager to understand your 30-60-90 plan, meet colleagues, shadow current members of the Salesloft team, and learn where to go for assistance

WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU'LL:

  • Run data analysis to derive value realization and identify trends of customer usage to support QBRs in collaboration with Value Realization and Customer Success
  • Understand the strategic why behind the metrics & their impact, not just the how
  • Deliver insights into a production system, and monitor their usage
  • Contribute to planning and executing analytics initiatives, with Manager approval

WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU'LL:

  • Proactively identify opportunities for process changes/experiments based on analysis and proactively share these with stakeholders
  • Own and maintain analytics content as our product and process evolve
  • Become comfortable peer reviewing work and offering feedback to fellow analysts

WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS, YOU'LL:

  • Own analytics initiatives from ideation to execution, and drive their success across the business
  • Mentor data-savvy users on best practices for analyzing and understanding data
  • Provide analysis and create data-driven insights content to aid our customers in application of result optimizing best practices, including, but not limited to:
    • Sales Manager and Rep behaviors that create the best results and predictable revenue generation
    • Tactics that work best in Sales outreach content, channel, and frequency
    • KPI benchmarks across different industries and regions
