At Salesloft, our Billings and Collections Revenue Analyst will be pivotal to our company’s success. You will be a key member of our fast-growing and high-performing Finance and Corporate Services department This role will be an integral part in the organization’s order-to-cash and customer analytics process and will contribute to the organization’s financial processes and play a critical role in customer account reconciliations, activities, and key performance indicators.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for partnering with various departments to ensure exceptional customer service for our customers. Specifically, you will:

  • Maintain ownership for managing and mitigating accounts receivable delinquency. This will require reaching out to customers in a fast-paced, goal-oriented accounting and finance department.
  • Manage and triage billing cases to reach a resolution
  • Support all of the revenue accounting needs

We are seeking a results-oriented, motivated, self-driven individual with a proven track record of successful invoice collections operations and customer service, preferably in a high-growth software as a service environment.

THE SKILL SET:

  • Proven experience with collections, accounts receivable, and billing core functions in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
  • 2-4+ years of progressive customer service and/or Revenue Analyst experience
  • Experience in full cycle order to cash process for a software and subscription-based revenue company
  • Proven knowledge of collection techniques
  • A problem solver with great attention to detail and strive to provide customers with world-class experience.
  • Working experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, and/or YayPay/Tesorio is a plus
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized in work and ability to meet assigned deadlines
  • Ability to act and operate independently
  • Strong analytical skills with high proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, and management to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication, and facilitation skills which will enable him/her to interact with a range of personalities and styles and be able to establish effective relationships with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and balance numerous priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Takes ownership; ability to set a strategy and motivate others to achieve necessary deliverables
  • Unquestionable integrity and personal ethics
  • Bachelor's degree

WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU’LL:

  • Establish a baseline evaluation of key performance indicators used to measure the collections and invoice-to-cash function
  • Begin to take deliberate action to mitigate the risk of delinquency of accounts receivable
  • Set your OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) with your manager and develop an action plan to achieve them
  • Meet key partners in Account Management, Sales, Customer Service, Executives etc. – they will be key relationships for you throughout your invoice-to-cash cycle.

WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Proactively use NetSuite to develop forward-looking projections of cash in a fast paced goal-oriented accounting and finance department for all things billing, order form, purchase order, and renewals
  • Provide customer service regarding all relevant financial information for to internal customers – including business operations, sales operations, and the General Accounting leadership
  • Design and develop a risk-based operating framework that is routinely executed to collect outstanding accounts receivable and ensure sufficient cash flow for the organization
  • Execute and measure the effectiveness of a collections strategy vis-à-vis the initial baseline metrics
  • Proactively reach out to customers via phone and/or other correspondence in a fast paced goal-oriented accounting and finance department
  • Provide customer service regarding collection issues, process and review account adjustments, resolve client discrepancies and short payments
  • Prepare and present reports on collection progress, activities and monthly forecasts & projections

WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Implement required initiatives and change-of-course actions to ensure order to cash flow given organizational growth
  • Consistently meet or exceed cash collection expectations
  • Develop an operating framework whereby invoice submission on customer portals can be managed
  • Measure and report collection progress relative to the company’s financial forecast and budget
  • Implement required initiatives and change-of-course actions to ensure adequate collections and cash flow given organizational growth
  • Have an ‘eye for scale’ by defining the necessary enhancements needed to better scale the collections function.
  • Continue to focus on your OKRs relative to departmental and company OKRs

WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Be considered a key performer and display the ability to make those around you better and more productive at their job.
  • Develop for scale taking action on necessary enhancements identified within the first six months
