We’re seeking a high‑impact Account Executive who thrives on net‑new logo acquisition, consultative selling, and owning the full sales cycle end‑to‑end. This role is ideal for a sales professional who enjoys working directly with small to mid‑sized construction businesses, often partnering closely with the company owner or principal decision‑maker to solve real operational and financial challenges.
You’ll sell Deltek ComputerEase, a purpose‑built ERP solution for construction firms, helping customers modernize project accounting, improve visibility, and make better business decisions. If you’re energized by prospecting, value‑based selling, and building trusted advisor relationships in an SMB environment — this role is for you.
In this role, you will:
- Own the full, net‑new sales cycle — from prospecting and self‑generated pipeline through close.
- Sell ComputerEase ERP solutions to owners, principals, and senior leaders at construction firms.
- Consistently exceed quota by prospecting, networking, presenting value, negotiating, and closing.
- Lead with AI fluency, leveraging modern sales tools and insights to drive smarter, more efficient sales execution.
- Run structured, consultative sales conversations tailored to owner‑led and SMB organizations, balancing business insight with practical outcomes.
- Apply proven sales methodologies (e.g., Challenger, MEDDPICC, SPIN, Solution Selling) to guide buyers through thoughtful, value‑driven decisions.
- Partner cross‑functionally with Sales Engineers, Services, Product Marketing, and Support to deliver complete, customer‑focused solutions.
- Collaborate closely with your Sales Development Partner to drive territory coverage and pipeline growth.
- Maintain a high volume of weekly new prospect meetings to ensure a healthy, predictable pipeline.
- Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and activity records in Salesforce.com.
- Develop satisfied customers who can serve as references and advocates within the construction community.
What you bring:
- 3+ years of B2B technology sales experience; ERP or SaaS experience strongly preferred.
- Proven success prospecting and closing net‑new business, ideally in SMB or owner‑led environments.
- Comfort selling directly to business owners and senior decision‑makers, with the ability to earn trust quickly.
- Ability to clearly articulate business value and ROI in practical, outcomes‑focused terms.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce.com (or similar CRM) with strong operational discipline.
- Familiarity with professional sales methodologies (MEDDPICC, Challenger, SPIN, Solution Selling, etc.).
- Comfort using AI‑powered sales tools and a mindset geared toward continuous improvement.
- Strong communication, presentation, and objection‑handling skills.
- Solid business acumen; basic accounting knowledge is a plus.
- Knowledge of the construction industry is advantageous, but not required.
- A grounded, resilient, and self‑motivated approach — comfortable working independently, learning continuously, and taking ownership of results.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
