Position Responsibilities:

Join Deltek’s Global Enterprise Applications Team as a Business Application Systems Engineer. In this role, you will strategically support and enhance enterprise applications across global business units, including HR, Marketing, Customer Success, and IT, by designing, developing, and maintaining integrations and automation solutions. Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and optimize both on-premises and SaaS business applications supporting global operations.
• Conduct technical analysis of business requirements and design solutions for applications across HR, Customer Success, and Marketing, including configuration, development, testing, deployment, and database/interface architecture for moderate to complex projects.
• Execute Agile development tasks: translate requirements into technical specifications, perform hands-on testing, and proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced system and database issues using SQL and configuration management expertise.
• Perform code reviews and manage application releases, ensuring robust deployment of new features and updates.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors to escalate and resolve integration and technical software issues.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, tools, and best practices to enhance solution quality and reduce costs.
• Create and update architectural documentation to ensure system integrity and knowledge transfer.
• Work closely with senior management, business stakeholders, architects, analysts, project managers, and engineering teams to deliver secure and scalable technical solutions aligned with business objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
• 8-10 years in IT roles
• 6-8 years as a system engineer or developer
• Proven leadership in complex projects
• Extensive hands-on work with code, interfaces, APIs, and databases
• Full project lifecycle experience in systems and application development
• Expertise in integrating and customizing business applications
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across all organizational levels
• Ability to quickly learn and apply modern technologies
• Advanced problem-solving and debugging abilities

Technical Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in web services, REST APIs, and SOAP/REST protocols; skilled in XML/JSON data handling and string manipulation.
• Advanced SQL skills, including authoring statements and stored procedures; proficient in database deployment and maintenance tasks.
• Hands-on experience with integration platforms: Power Automate, UIPath, MuleSoft, Workato, and IBM AppConnect.
• Proficient in Microsoft technologies, including Windows OS, PowerShell scripting, and SharePoint administration.
• Direct experience supporting enterprise applications in both on-premises and SaaS environments.
