project 44 is looking for a motivated Billing and Order Management (OM) Manager to join our dynamic accounting team in Kraków! As the Billing and OM Manager you will develop and maintain billing policies and procedures, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and develop strategies to improve billing efficiency and accuracy. You will collaborate with Accounting, Revenue and Go to Market teams to ensure smooth and efficient billing operations. You will report to the Senior Manager, Finance COE Leader.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading Billing and Order Management team, supporting Collection team and Revenue team
  • Partnering with different teams across the organization to efficiently bill clients for emerging products
  • Managing all aspects of billing in accordance with GAAP revenue recognition standards
  • Managing review process of all order forms for new business and direct preparation of invoices and any required supporting documentation to comply with contract terms
  • Working on accounting month-end and FY close process, including but not limited to reviewing and approving journal entries, reviewing issued invoices, credit memos, debit memos and calculating unbilled Accounts Receivable
  • Resolve client-billing problems and escalations
  • Review and evaluate current deal closure procedures and challenging those items that delay or complicate deal closure, invoicing, and collections workflow
  • Work closely with the revenue recognition team to ensure all accounting for billed and deferred revenue is correct
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the efficiency of billing processes and procedures to enhance accruals quality, efficiency, and productivity of the team
  • Provide supporting documentation for audits
  • Lead or support ad hoc projects as they arise across various teams (e. g. Commercial Finance, Sales Operations)

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of managing billing and collection teams
  • Experience in Order or Contract Management, preferably in a growing SAAS technology business
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator (e.g., sales, customer contracts, and order desk operations)
  • Experience with CPQ, Zuora, NetSuite and Salesforce is a plus
  • Proven track record of managing high-volume invoicing and collections
  • Basic understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Knowledge of new revenue recognition standards would be an asset (ASC 606)
  • Good knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, etc.)
  • Fluency in English
