Vice President of Total Rewards

The Vice President of Total Rewards is a critical role for our rapidly growing organization to drive strategic compensation and benefits decisions and deliver creative, competitive, and analytically driven programs. This role will serve as project44's subject matter expert to ensure fair and equitable pay, and create sustainable and competitive incentive, compensation and benefits programs in alignment to our high-performance culture. Our People Team thrives in a fast-paced environment, can navigate working through ambiguity with an owner’s mindset, and require the ability to create and build programs and processes that will scale as we grow.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the strategic design and execution of the company's global compensation, benefits/wellness, payroll and mobility programs, while seeking opportunities to improve our processes, provide a better team member experience and scale with the business
  • Oversee the design, development, implementation and scaling of a full range of compensation programs for the company globally. Provide flexibility and local customization to account for cultural, legal and market differences
  • Ensure all compensation, benefits/wellness and mobility programs are market and cost competitive, aligned with business goals, consistently administered, and in compliance with company policies and evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Provide partnership, education and direction to the people team leadership, functional stakeholders, and senior business leaders on all compensation matters for the company (including job creation, new hire offers, internal promotions, pay adjustments, retention, and recognition).
  • Lead the development, implementation and administration of all compensation programs (including merit cycles and equity refreshes)
  • Be the trusted advisor to leadership on all compensation decisions and strategy (must be able to influence and drive decisions at executive leadership levels)
  • Collaborate with a high level of influence across functional leadership groups to ensure compensation plans and policies are developed and communicated effectively; Encourage innovative solutions and holistic thinking across functional areas; Partner with external vendors as require
  • Conduct compliance assessments to identify areas of risk or improvements that need to be addressed. Responsible for certain daily compensation operations, including FLSA exemption assignment, data reporting and staying aware of current local and federal laws and regulations
  • Develop tooling and systems solutions to make processes more efficient
  • Drive market analysis and benchmarking for current and future roles on all aspects of compensation
  • Ensure accurate and relevant survey data to maintain and update project44's compensation bands
  • Manage holistic equity program including annual refreshes; works in close partnership with our finance team, as well as support and educate current and former employees with the options exercise process
  • Manage benefits portfolio and vendor relationships

If you have most or all of the following please apply!

  • 10+ years’ experience in global compensation principles and practices including program design and administration at a global, high growth, technology company; executive and sales compensation; equity programs; compensation technology design and management
  • Strong knowledge of executive compensation principles and practices as well as short- and long-term incentive programs
  • Experience in UltiPro, Workday or comparable HCM system
  • Experience working in SAAS tech start up hyper growth environments
  • Experience with Global M&A and transformation activities
  • Possess certification(s) like CCP, PHR, SPHR or SHRM-CP
  • Strong project management and change management skills
  • Superior attention to detail and accuracy, excellent problem solving, analytical and research skills
  • Ability to work in a global team environment and make independent decisions
  • Collaborative work style with a focus on providing exceptional guidance
  • Proven organizational skills, including balancing multiple responsibilities, and effectively meeting deadlines
  • Able to deliver presentations to both small and large groups

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, finance or business-related field or combination of experience, skills, and superior performance
  • Minimum of 6+ years’ experience in global compensation principles and practices including program design and administration at a global company; executive and sales compensation; equity programs; compensation technology design and management
  • Excellent PC skills required, Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel and PowerPoint. Advanced proficiency in Excel required
