About Mercor
Mercor is at the intersection of labor markets and AI research. We partner with leading AI labs and enterprises to provide the human intelligence essential to AI development.
Our vast talent network trains frontier AI models in the same way teachers teach students: by sharing knowledge, experience, and context that can't be captured in code alone. Today, more than 30,000 experts in our network collectively earn over $1.5 million a day.
Mercor is creating a new category of work where expertise powers AI advancement. Achieving this requires an ambitious, fast-paced and deeply committed team. You’ll work alongside researchers, operators, and AI companies at the forefront of shaping the systems that are redefining society.
Mercor is a profitable Series C company valued at $10 billion. We work in-person five days a week in our new San Francisco headquarters.
About the role
This is one of Mercor’s first marketing hires. It is a rare opportunity to build the foundation for a high-performing, data-driven marketing function.
You’ll design and execute the programs that power our growth and support our goal to build a vast talent network—from SEO and lifecycle marketing to paid acquisition and website optimization. You’ll bring a strong point of view on what gets results, while staying flexible, resourceful, and relentlessly execution-oriented.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced and high-autonomy environment.
Key responsibilities:
Build and run full-funnel growth programs across SEO, SEM, paid social, and lifecycle channels from strategy to execution.
Own the martech stack: identify, evaluate, and roll out the right marketing tech stack (CMS, analytics, automation).
Establish marketing measurement: define KPIs in partnership with leaders, build dashboards, and create reporting loops for continuous optimization.
Partner across teams: streamline engineering, sourcing, GTM workstreams to align marketing activities with company goals.
Manage and scale external partners including agencies, contractors, and vendors to extend the team’s reach while maintaining high quality.
Champion experimentation and learning by using data and modern AI tools to improve conversion, reach, and efficiency.
What we are looking for:
6–8 years of experience in growth or performance marketing, ideally in marketplace or e-commerce businesses.
Experience building marketing programs and infrastructure from scratch—not just optimizing an existing engine.
Confident and opinionated, yet open-minded. You can balance conviction with adaptability.
High-execution mindset: comfortable owning both strategy and hands-on implementation.
Strong command of analytics, experimentation, and automation tools (HubSpot, GA4, Framer, Looker, etc.).
