Overview We’re looking for a Director, Experience Strategy to lead strategic thinking across customer journeys, engagement ecosystems, and brand experiences for pharmaceutical clients. This role is ideal for a strategist who excels at connecting insights to experiences—bringing together data, content, channels, and creativity to shape how audiences interact with brands over time. This person must bring pharma experience, with a strong preference for DTC pharma experience. Responsibilities • Serve as a trusted strategic partner to clients, building strong relationships through a deep understanding of their business and customer experience challenges • Lead engagement and experience strategy across the full customer journey, from awareness through conversion and long-term engagement • Develop experience-led strategies that integrate messaging, channels, content, and touchpoints into cohesive engagement ecosystems • Translate consumer insights, data, and research into actionable experience, engagement, and communication strategies • Collaborate closely with creative, account, analytics, medical, and media teams to ensure experiences are insight-driven, feasible, and inspiring • Develop strategic POVs around customer behavior, engagement innovation, and experience design in the pharma space • Lead the development of experience-focused briefs, frameworks, and strategic deliverables • Facilitate internal brainstorms and client workshops focused on engagement, journeys, and experience optimization • Support new business efforts and pitches, contributing experience and engagement thinking • Partner with clients on research initiatives, using findings to inform experience and engagement strategies Qualifications • Pharma marketing experience required • DTC pharma experience strongly preferred • Strong background in engagement strategy, experience strategy, or customer journey planning • Ability to deeply understand audiences, behaviors, and motivations across channels and touchpoints • Experience connecting insight to action—turning complexity into clear strategic direction • Strong storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to bring experience strategies to life • Comfortable collaborating across disciplines and leading with influence rather than authority • Confident communicator with presence, clarity, and the ability to build trust with clients and teams • Natural collaborator and mentor with strong leadership instincts Additional information Our Publicis Groupe motto “Viva La Différence” means we’re better together, and we believe that our differences make us stronger. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
