(www.influential.co) Overview Influential is looking for a highly motivated Senior Staff Accountant to join our growing Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely recognition of revenue in accordance with ASC 606 and company policies. You’ll work cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Billing, and Operations to review contracts, support month-end close activities, and enhance revenue reporting processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Collaborate with Sales, Billing, Legal, Operations teams to assess deal structures, billing requirements, and ensure revenue compliance. Review sales contracts to ensure revenue recognition aligns with ASC 606 and company policies. Monitor ongoing customer deals and proactively account for contract modifications, amendments, and renewals during the contract term to ensure proper revenue recognition under ASC 606. Performing regular audits along the entire revenue stream in both NetSuite ERP and Salesforce systems. Perform revenue-related month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, supporting schedules, and account reconciliations. Prepare and analyze balance sheet reconciliations for revenue-related accounts and resolve variances timely. Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries. Assist with special projects, including system implementations and process improvement initiatives. Partner closely with the Senior Accountant & Director of Revenue to support revenue operations and monthly close deliverables. Provide cross-functional support within Accounts Receivable as needed to ensure team coverage. Qualifications Must be physically based in either the Central Time Zone or Eastern Time Zone. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. Required at least 2+ years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for candidates with revenue accounting experience or public accounting experience with revenue exposure. Strong foundation of GAAP, specifically ASC 606. Experience with full quote-to-cash cycle processes preferred. Experience with NetSuite (ERP) and Salesforce (CRM) preferred. Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills required: including ability to manage large datasets and identify discrepancies. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Positive team player and ability to meet strict deadlines and deliver on commitments. Strong attention to detail and analytical mindest. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
