The role requires basic IT knowledge, a general understanding of AI, and very strong communication skills. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working under pressure and coordinating with different teams. Responsibilities Software Asset and AI Licensing Management & Compliance Maintain accurate and auditable software and AI tool inventories, entitlements, and usage data Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and internal governance standards Identify and mitigate risks related to unlicensed or non-compliant software Help Define, document, and maintain SAM policies, standards, and operating procedures Ensure alignment with ITIL, financial controls, and corporate compliance requirements Partner with Legal and Procurement to interpret license terms and contractual obligations Identify opportunities to optimize software usage, reduce waste, and avoid unnecessary spend Analyze license consumption, usage trends, and renewal data to support cost‑saving initiatives Tools, Data & Reporting Work within Software Asset Management (SAM) and discovery tools Ensure data accuracy across SAM, CMDB, procurement, and financial systems Develop dashboards and executive‑level reporting on compliance, risk, and spend Continuously improve data quality, automation, and reporting maturity Communication/Collaboration Communicate clearly, concisely, and appropriately for the audience, including senior leadership Educate internal teams on licensing models, usage responsibilities, and governance processes Serve as a central point of contact for software asset–related inquiries and escalations Build trust, influence without authority, and foster cross‑functional collaboration Operate comfortably in fast‑moving, constantly evolving environments Qualifications Required Skills and Competencies General understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts Basic understanding of software and AI licensing models (perpetual, subscription, SaaS, cloud) Knowledge of Software Asset Management (SAM) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) principles Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights Confident communicator able to engage technical teams, finance partners, and executive leadership Excellent organizational, project management, and stakeholder management skills Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and compliance Proven ability to manage complexity, ambiguity, and competing priorities High attention to detail combined with a strategic, big‑picture mindset Preferred but not required certifications - Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) or ServiceNow SAM Professional QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or 3+ years of equivalent experience 3+ years of experience in Software Asset Management, IT Asset Management, or related IT Support roles Additional information Salary Range - $70 - 75K/yr All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
