Overview We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate reliable, scalable, and secure cloud-native platforms. This role focuses on enabling high-performing engineering teams through modern DevOps practices, automation, and platform engineering. The role also supports AI/ML and Generative AI workloads, ensuring models and AI services can be deployed, monitored, and scaled safely in production. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that solutions align with business objectives, technical requirements, and operational best practices. This position is a 12-month fixed-term contract. Responsibilities DevOps & Platform Engineering Design, build, and operate highly reliable, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure. Own infrastructure‑as‑code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, safe, and repeatable application deployments. Support containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, and managed container platforms. Cloud & Infrastructure Lead design decisions across Azure Cloud Platform. Optimize infrastructure for availability, performance, resilience, and cost efficiency. Implement best practices for networking, compute, storage, and scalability. Reliability, Observability & Operations Establish monitoring, alerting, and logging standards using modern observability tools. Define and track SLIs, SLOs, and operational KPIs. Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. Security & Governance Embed security best practices into pipelines and infrastructure (DevSecOps). Partner with security teams to implement access control, secrets management, and compliance controls. Ensure platforms meet enterprise security, privacy, and regulatory requirements. Collaboration & Leadership Act as a technical mentor for DevOps and engineering teams. Guide teams through architectural reviews and operational best practices. Collaborate with software engineering, architecture, data science, and product teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions. Qualifications 7–10+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles. Strong hands‑on experience with Azure cloud platforms. Deep experience with CI/CD, infrastructure‑as‑code, and automation. Proficiency with Linux, networking concepts, and distributed systems. Experience operating production systems at scale. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across teams. Experience with Kubernetes platform engineering and cluster operations. Familiarity with zero‑trust, identity, or secrets management solutions. Nice to Have Previous Martech experience Exposure to AI/ML or MLOps environments, including supporting model training, inference, or CI/CD for ML workloads Familiarity with Generative AI or LLM platforms (for example, inference services or RAG architectures) Prior MLOps experience Additional information Location & Eligibility: Candidates must be based in the Greater Toronto Area with valid Canadian work authorization of at least 12 months. Hybrid Work: This role follows a hybrid model with 3 days per week at our Toronto office: 111 Queen St. E, Suite 200, Toronto, ON M5C 1S2. Time Off: - Up to 3 weeks vacation, with additional paid closure between Christmas and New Year's - Extended long weekends for provincial holidays — we give you both the Monday and Friday so you get a full 4-day break - 6 sick days and 2 personal days per year Flexibility & Global Mobility: Work remotely for up to 6 weeks per year from any of our 50+ global offices through our Work Your World program.
