Overview The Manager, Technology & Data Platforms is a hands‑on, client‑facing technical leader within the Global Data Technology, Platforms & Governance function of the Data & Analytics organization. This role supports the design, implementation, and operationalization of scalable, automated data solutions that enable audience strategy, campaign delivery, performance optimization, and analytics across the media lifecycle, under the guidance of Associate Directors and Directors. The Manager partners closely with analytics, strategy, and client stakeholders to translate business and audience requirements into executable data solutions, pipelines, and platform configurations. This role blends technical execution, audience enablement, and client consultation, while building the skills and experience required for progression into senior technical leadership roles within the organization. This is a client‑facing role requiring the ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders, manage day‑to‑day data enablement across platforms, and ensure successful adoption of data and identity solutions. Responsibilities Architecture Support, Business Rules & Solution Execution Support Directors and Associate Directors in translating global business rules and architecture standards into market- and client-level implementations. Translate client and analytics requirements into scalable data pipelines, platform configurations, and audience activation frameworks. Contribute to solution design across data ingestion, transformation, harmonization, and downstream delivery, ensuring alignment with established architectural standards. Provide execution-level guidance on ad tech and mar tech integration patterns, including identity resolution, clean room usage, data onboarding, and interoperability across platforms. Hands-On Engineering, Data Enablement & Automation Remain hands-on with Python and SQL to develop, maintain, and support production data pipelines and automation scripts. Support automation-first approaches to improve data reliability, reduce manual processes, and accelerate delivery. Develop workflows that transform raw platform and audience data into reporting-ready datasets for analytics and client insights. Participate in integrated testing across development, QA, and production environments. Data Platform Operations, Quality & Governance Support the end-to-end technical flow of data across platforms, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness. Monitor and manage data feed accuracy, match rates, audience distributions, and discrepancies in collaboration with internal teams and vendors (without owning vendor contracts or budgets). Identify and escalate data compliance and quality issues, including missing identifiers, misconfigured placements, and API gaps. Adhere to governance standards for data connectivity, identity usage, and platform integrations. Client Enablement, Delivery & Team Contribution Own day-to-day client data and audience enablement relationships, including onboarding and platform execution. Provide ongoing consultation on audience strategy, data onboarding, and optimization to ensure adoption and performance improvements. Lead data targeting, audience activation, and optimization strategies across assigned accounts. Accountable for junior and associate-level deliverables; provide guidance, quality review, and delivery oversight under Director/Associate Director direction. Deliver work successfully within defined timelines in a fast-paced, client-driven environment. Make day-to-day delivery decisions while ensuring input and alignment for client business-related decisions with Associate Director and Director leadership. Cross-Functional Partnership, Training & Communication Act as a key liaison between Data Engineering, Activation, Programmatic, and Measurement teams. Communicate technical concepts, platform capabilities, and data insights clearly to clients and internal stakeholders. Develop and present Audience & Data Identity 101 materials and ongoing performance readouts. Attend vendor and platform training sessions (DSPs, CDPs, clean rooms, identity providers) and share insights on strengths, limitations, and best-fit use cases. Contribute to business and technical documentation, client presentations, and audience performance reporting. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in data, ad tech, mar tech, or digital advertising roles within a client services environment Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL, including production data pipelines Working knowledge of data warehouses, pipelines, and data modeling concepts Experience with DSPs, CDPs, identity solutions, and third-party data Strong understanding of data flow within ad tech / mar tech ecosystems Excellent analytical, problem solving, and debugging skills Strong written and verbal communication skills with non-technical audiences Highly organized and detail oriented in fast paced environments Preferred Experience Advertising agency or marketing technology experience supporting multi market teams Audience strategy, clean rooms, CDPs, and full funnel measurement exposure Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, BigQuery, Redshift) Familiarity with CI/CD, orchestration tools, and version control Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and web analytics (Google Analytics) Tools & Platforms Programming: Python, SQL Cloud & Data: AWS, Azure, BigQuery, Redshift Data Collection & APIs: Adverity, platform APIs DevOps: Git, GitLab, Jenkins, Airflow BI & Analytics: Power BI, Tableau Media Platforms: DV360, Trade Desk, Amazon DSP, TikTok, Snapchat, Google & Adobe Analytics Identity Solution Tools: (e.g. Epsilon, Lotame, Liveramp, Neustar) Consumer Data Platforms: (e.g. Salesforce, Adobe, Treasure Data) Collaboration: Microsoft Teams, AirTable, Smartsheets, HIVE Additional information Our Publicis Groupe motto “Viva La Différence” means we’re better together, and we believe that our differences make us stronger. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
