Overview We are seeking a Senior AI/ML Solutions Architect to serve as the senior technical authority for architecting and guiding the delivery of production-grade AI and machine learning capabilities across our enterprise AI platform. This role is responsible for translating business and platform needs into scalable, secure, and observable AI system architectures, covering LLMs, agent-based systems, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), inference pipelines, evaluation frameworks, and MLOps. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that AI/ML solutions align with business objectives, technical requirements, and operational best practices. This position is a 12-month fixed-term contract. Responsibilities AI/ML Architecture & Design Own end-to-end solution architecture for enterprise AI/ML systems. Design scalable, modular, and secure architectures. Maintain architecture artifacts and standards. AI Engineering & Applied ML Systems Design production LLM, RAG, and agent systems. Guide teams through architectural reviews. Define CI/CD pipelines for AI systems Establish monitoring and KPIs Integration, Identity & Security Design solutions that integrate with internal and external systems using modern API‑first and event‑driven patterns. Collaborate with security and privacy stakeholders to ensure solutions meet authentication, authorization, data protection, and compliance requirements. Incorporate identity, access management, and data governance considerations into all architectural designs. Cloud & Platform Strategy Inform architecture decisions across cloud infrastructure, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and platform services. Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, and tools that support long‑term platform scalability and reliability. Balance innovation with operational stability, performance, and cost efficiency. Stakeholder & Client Collaboration Translate business objectives into clear, actionable technical solutions. Communicate complex architectural concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Support client and internal leadership discussions by providing clear architectural options, trade‑offs, and recommendations. Qualifications 8+ years in engineering or architecture. Experience with GenAI, RAG, agents, and MLOps. Strong cloud background. Proven experience designing and delivering complex, enterprise‑scale digital platforms. Strong background in cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Deep understanding of API design, system integration patterns, and distributed systems. Experience working within Agile delivery models (Scrum, Kanban). Ability to influence technical direction while collaborating across cross‑functional teams. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical decisions and rationale. Experience with event‑driven architectures, microservices, and domain‑driven design. Nice to Have Experience with identity, access management, or data‑centric platforms. Experience in regulated or privacy‑sensitive environments. Prior experience supporting multiple products or clients within a shared platform ecosystem. Additional information Location & Eligibility: Candidates must be based in the Greater Toronto Area with valid Canadian work authorization of at least 12 months. Hybrid Work: This role follows a hybrid model with 3 days per week at our Toronto office: 111 Queen St. E, Suite 200, Toronto, ON M5C 1S2.
