About Isomer
Isomer is building the agentic workflow platform for insurance operations. We help insurers, TPAs, brokers, and risk managers automate complex manual processes with AI-powered workflows that combine intelligent automation with human oversight. We're an early-stage startup with a bold vision: to transform how the insurance industry operates by making sophisticated automation accessible, reliable, and scalable.
This is not an incremental improvement—it's a ground-up opportunity to reimagine what enterprise workflow automation can be for a massive, underserved industry.
About This Role
We're looking for a Lead UI/UX Designer to own the design strategy and execution for our agentic workflow platform. You'll be responsible for creating intuitive, powerful experiences that help enterprise insurance customers automate complex workflows while maintaining control and visibility.
This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution. You'll work closely with product and engineering teams to define the user experience, establish design systems, and ship features that delight users while solving real business problems. You'll be the design voice in product decisions and help shape how we build for enterprise customers.
If you're excited by the opportunity to build foundational design systems, lead design strategy for a B2B SaaS platform, and help define the future of insurance automation, this role is for you.
What You'll Do
- Own Design Strategy: Define the design vision and strategy for Isomer's platform, ensuring our product is intuitive, powerful, and delightful for enterprise users.
- Design End-to-End Experiences: Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for complex workflow automation features from concept to launch.
- Build Design Systems: Establish and maintain a scalable design system that ensures consistency, efficiency, and quality across the product.
- Partner with Product & Engineering: Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to define requirements, validate designs, and ensure seamless implementation.
- Conduct User Research: Lead user research initiatives, gather feedback from customers, and translate insights into actionable design improvements.
- Drive Design Excellence: Champion design quality, advocate for user needs, and push the team to ship exceptional experiences.
- Iterate Based on Data: Use analytics, user feedback, and usability testing to continuously improve the product experience.
- Shape Product Direction: Contribute to product strategy discussions, bring design thinking to feature planning, and help define what we build next.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of UI/UX design experience in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or workflow automation platforms.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in designing complex, data-rich interfaces for enterprise users.
- Experience building and maintaining design systems at scale, with a focus on consistency and reusability.
- Proven ability to partner effectively with product managers and engineers, balancing user needs with technical constraints.
- Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
- Proficiency with modern design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite) and prototyping tools.
- Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and translating insights into design decisions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to articulate design decisions to stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently and drive projects from concept to completion.
Nice to Haves
- Experience designing for insurance, fintech, or regulated industries with complex compliance and security requirements.
- Background in designing AI-powered products, intelligent automation tools, or agentic systems.
- Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, React) to better collaborate with engineering teams.
- Experience designing for workflow automation, process management, or business intelligence platforms.
- Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices.
- Experience leading or mentoring other designers in a fast-paced startup environment.
