Technical Operations & Delivery Lead
Hi Marley
At Hi Marley, we’re not just a technology company—we’re on a mission to revolutionize the insurance industry with our conversational platform that makes communication simple, efficient, and delightful. Built for carriers, powered by SMS, and designed by insurance experts, Hi Marley connects people through seamless, friendly conversations that save time, money, and hassle. Our platform helps insurance carriers strengthen customer relationships while streamlining operations. With a focus on collaboration, coaching, and powerful analytics, we deliver the insights insurance teams need when they need them—creating a smooth, frictionless experience for customers along the way.
We are seeking a Technical Operations & Delivery Lead to drive predictable, cross-functional delivery across Hi Marley’s product and technical teams. This role blends operational rigor with hands-on program leadership, ensuring seamless execution of initiatives that span infrastructure, tooling, product workflows, and customer-facing programs.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on structure and delivery excellence, is fluent in tools like Jira, and can operate at both the systems and execution level. As we scale and move upmarket, you will help evolve our product development operations while ensuring that complex programs are delivered on time and with clarity across the organization.
Teamwork and shared enthusiasm is a core part of our culture, which is why this role involves joining us in the Boston office for two days each week.
What You’ll Do
- Program Delivery: Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives with technical depth—such as onboarding large carriers or rolling out new data infrastructure. Own the full delivery lifecycle: scoping, execution, risk management, cross-team communication, and milestone tracking.
- Tool & Systems Management: Own Jira, Confluence, and supporting platforms. Design and maintain systems that enable real-time visibility into project status, dependencies, and risks across teams.
- Release Management: Own the release calendar and execution rhythm, ensuring on-time, well-orchestrated delivery. Implement a scalable cadence that balances team velocity with go-to-market readiness.
- Operational Workflow Optimization: Create, document, and evolve repeatable processes across product development, delivery, and launch readiness. Drive adoption of workflows that enable clarity, autonomy, and predictability.
- Program Governance & Reporting: Maintain clear, consistent reporting for leadership and stakeholders. Drive accountability by facilitating standups, retrospectives, and cross-functional planning ceremonies.
- Launch Readiness & Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with Product Managers, Engineering Leads, and Enablement to align product releases with GTM milestones and internal communications.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively identify bottlenecks, tool gaps, or misalignments. Lead retrospectives and drive a continuous improvement mindset across the delivery lifecycle.
What We’re Looking For
- Program Management Expertise: 4–6+ years leading technical, cross-functional programs in SaaS, platform, or product environments. Proven track record of on-time delivery of complex, multi-team projects.
- Tooling and Systems Fluency: Deep experience configuring and administering Jira, Confluence, and delivery tracking tools. Bonus for experience with Jellyfish or similar analytics platforms.
- Release & Workflow: Hands-on experience owning product release cycles, defining operational playbooks, and scaling delivery practices.
- Operational Excellence: History of creating structure in scaling organizations. Able to design and implement workflows, playbooks, and tooling integrations from scratch.
- Communication & Reporting: Strong written and verbal skills with the ability to clearly summarize progress, risks, and dependencies for diverse technical and business stakeholders.
- Detail-Oriented & Process-Minded: A passion for structure, clarity, and rigor. Thrives on catching edge cases, writing the checklist, and building systems that others trust.
