What You'll Do

  • Manage multiple commercial accounts simultaneously — track renewals, open items, and client follow-ups across your full book

  • Issue Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and handle endorsement requests accurately and quickly

  • Review policies for accuracy at issuance; catch and correct errors before they reach the client

  • Maintain clean, complete account records in the agency management system

  • Coordinate with producers on renewals, remarketing, and new business support

  • Flag recurring carrier or process issues so they get fixed upstream

You Might Be a Fit If…

  • You have 2+ years of account management experience at a retail commercial lines agency or brokerage

  • You've worked commercial P&C lines: GL, BOP, WC, Commercial Auto, Umbrella, and related coverages

  • You've issued COIs, processed endorsements, and managed policy documentation hands-on

  • You're comfortable working directly with underwriters — following up, negotiating, escalating when needed

  • You hold an active P&C license (or can obtain one quickly)

  • You're detail-oriented and accurate even when the volume is high

Requirements

  • 2+ years of commercial lines account management at a retail agency or independent

  • Strong communication skills — clear, professional, and patient

  • Ability to manage a high-volume book without dropping items

  • Commercial lines experience is required; we are not able to consider candidates with exclusively personal lines backgrounds

Nice to Have

  • Experience with specialty or hard-to-place markets

  • Familiarity with agency management systems (AMS360, Applied Epic, or similar)

  • Bilingual (Spanish)

Compensation

  • Location: Remote or San Francisco, in-office

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8–10 hour shifts

Benefits

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance

  • Commuter benefits

  • Team meals and snacks

The Process

  1. Phone screen — background and experience review

  2. Hiring manager interview — account management scenarios and expectations

  3. On-site day — meet the team, work through real account situations
