About Gusto

Gusto is a modern, online people platform that helps small businesses take care of their teams. On top of full-service payroll, Gusto offers health insurance, 401(k)s, expert HR, and team management tools. Today, Gusto offices in Denver, San Francisco, and New York serve more than 400,000 businesses nationwide.

Our mission is to create a world where work empowers a better life, and it starts right here at Gusto. That’s why we’re committed to building a collaborative and inclusive workplace, both physically and virtually. Learn more about our Total Rewards philosophy.

About the Role:

Our Candidate Experience team is committed to delivering a world-class experience to both our candidates and internal hiring teams. We strive to give every candidate (no matter the interview outcome) a stellar, white-glove experience. We do this by maintaining harmonious partnerships with our stakeholders and working together within our own team to reach our shared goals.

This is a hybrid role with the expectation that you will work out of our Denver, CO or SF, CA office approximately 2-3 days per week.

Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:

  • Support recruiting coordination across multiple functions while contributing to Candidate Experience team projects and goals.
  • Facilitate high volume of virtual interviews including, but not limited to: phone screens, technical assessments, panel presentations, and complex interview panels.
  • Act as point of contact for candidates; coordinate, schedule, and manage interviews as well as travel and accommodation arrangements when required. Making sure everyone is in the right place at the right time.
  • Develop strong candidate and stakeholder relationships and maintain effective communication channels.
  • Gusto Ambassador: You will represent our genuine, warm, and friendly Gusto culture at all stages throughout the interview process!

Here’s what we're looking for:

  • 1+ years of work experience, ideally in a recruiting, HR, or administrative environment.
  • Organized and detail-oriented; You put your feet in the shoes of our candidates and interviewers to think through the best candidate experience from every angle.
  • Time management skills; You tackle your work efficiently, consistently, and effectively. You can organize competing priorities that occur daily.
  • Clear & concise communicator; You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on being clear, concise, and friendly.
  • You have the ability to embrace change with a great attitude and feel comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Proficient with Google Apps, particularly Google Calendar.
  • Bonus points for experience using an applicant tracking system (ATS) like Greenhouse, or interview scheduling software like ModernLoop.

Our cash compensation amount for this role is between $26.00 - $29.00/hr in Denver and between $33.00 - $36.00/year for New York/San Francisco. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate location, experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.

Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale.

Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas.

When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required.
