Genspark is looking for a Head of Marketing to lead our South Korea market expansion. You'll own the full marketing strategy for South Korea—from building brand awareness to driving product adoption—while building a local team of marketing professionals in Seoul.
This is a true general manager role where you'll shape how Genspark shows up in South Korea. You'll develop our go-to-market strategy, localize our brand for South Korean audiences, and build the marketing engine that drives our growth in one of the world's most sophisticated markets.
What You'll Do
Market Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute South Korea's full-funnel marketing strategy
- Localize Genspark's brand positioning and product narrative for South Korean audiences
- Set marketing goals and priorities for the South Korea market
- Identify opportunities and adapt strategies based on the local competitive landscape
Go-to-Market Execution
- Lead product launches and major marketing campaigns
- Build Genspark's brand presence through integrated campaigns across brand marketing, PR, events, influencer partnerships, and product marketing
- Manage relationships with key external partners (PR agencies, media, strategic partners)
- Allocate budget and resources across marketing initiatives
Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor a team of marketing professionals covering brand, content, events, and partnerships
- Build team capabilities and foster a high-performance culture
- Collaborate closely with Global marketing leadership and cross-functional global teams
Performance & Operations
- Track marketing performance and ROI across channels and campaigns
- Report on South Korea market progress to leadership
- Build marketing processes and systems that scale with the business
What You‘ll Bring
- 8-12 years of marketing experience with at least 3-5 years in leadership roles, managing teams
- Full-funnel marketing expertise: Track record building brands AND driving product adoption in South Korea
- South Korea market expertise: Deep understanding of South Korean consumer behavior, media landscape, and business culture
- Localization skills: Proven ability to adapt global products/brands for the South Korean market—not just translation, but true cultural adaptation
- Startup mindset: Experience at fast-growing tech companies—you're comfortable with ambiguity and building from scratch while also being strategic
- Team leadership: Experience managing, developing, and inspiring marketing teams
- Cross-cultural collaboration: Ability to work effectively with global teams across time zones and cultures
- Strategic + execution-oriented: You set the vision but also ensure things get done
- Fluent in Korean and English: Proficiency in Korean; business-level English for Global team collaboration
- Budget management: Experience managing significant marketing budgets

- Experience at SaaS or productivity tool companies
- Understanding of product-led growth (PLG) strategies
- Experience launching US tech products in the South Korean market
- Strong relationships in the South Korean tech media, influencer, or partnership ecosystem
- Experience working at both large tech companies and startups
- Familiarity with AI products or developer tools
