About The Role
The Vice President, Corporate Controller is the company’s senior accounting and controllership executive, responsible for the integrity, scalability, and strategic alignment of all global accounting, financial reporting, treasury, procurement, and control functions. Reporting to the CFO, this leader drives operational excellence, ensures compliance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory standards, and partners across Finance, Legal, and Business Operations to enable data-driven decision-making and sustainable growth.
The VP, Corporate Controller will oversee global accounting operations spanning from the U.S. to Bangalore, India—including corporate accounting, revenue recognition, technical accounting, tax, audit, internal controls, and shared services—and lead a high-performing team to build scalable financial infrastructure in support of a growing, complex organization. This leader will also be a key contributor to growth initiatives across G2’s strategic plan, including M&A and business integrations.
In This Role, You Will:

Strategic Financial Leadership
Serve as the company’s principal accounting officer and key advisor to the CFO and executive team on accounting, audit, and control matters.
Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, and Business Operations to influence strategic decision-making through data and financial insight.
Lead long-range financial systems design, infrastructure improvements, and automation efforts to increase accuracy, speed, and scalability.
Drive accounting readiness for major corporate events (e.g., acquisitions, integrations, financing rounds, or IPO-readiness).

Financial Reporting & Compliance
Oversee timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Manage all aspects of external audits and liaise with external auditors, Board committees, and regulators as needed.
Ensure compliance with all internal and external reporting requirements, including tax, statutory, and regulatory filings globally.
Maintain deep ownership of internal control frameworks (SOX readiness, as applicable), ensuring a strong culture of governance and accountability.

Operational Excellence
Lead continuous improvement of close processes and reporting cadence, targeting world-class efficiency and accuracy.
Oversee accounting policy development, implementation, and consistent application across entities.
Evaluate and optimize the company’s ERP and financial systems to enable real-time insight and operational agility.
Establish and track key operational and financial metrics (KPIs) to measure and improve accounting performance.
Drive leadership in the adoption and implementation of AI-driven ways-of-working to scale the team commensurately with the broader company.

Build, lead, and mentor a diverse and high-performing accounting organization with global reach.
Establish clear career paths and performance metrics that encourage professional growth, technical expertise, and accountability.
Foster collaboration, transparency, and a continuous improvement mindset across all levels of the finance function.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required, MBA or equivalent preferred.
15+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior controller or equivalent role within a publicly traded or PE-backed environment.
Deep technical expertise in U.S. GAAP, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and financial controls.
Proven success building scalable accounting infrastructure, systems, and teams in a high-growth software or technology environment.
Experience managing external audits and complex global consolidations.
Strong leadership, communication, and executive presence; capable of influencing cross-functional and board-level stakeholders.
ERP experience (e.g., Intacct, NetSuite, Workday, or equivalent) and a track record of driving process automation and system optimization.
