What You'll Do
The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Technology is the top technology leadership role responsible for optimizing the company’s existing technology solutions to ensure alignment with strategic business objectives. This role focuses on improving and fine-tuning solutions, systems, and processes already in place, ensuring operational efficiency and alignment with the company's strategic goals. The SVP will collaborate with cross-functional leaders, guide the technology team, and implement initiatives to drive operational efficiency, cost reduction, and performance improvement. Additionally, the SVP will lead technical due diligence and provide post-acquisition support during mergers and acquisitions, ensuring seamless integration of technology assets into the company’s infrastructure.
Technology Optimization & Strategic Alignment:
- Lead efforts to optimize current technology solutions, aligning them with the company’s broader strategic objectives and improving overall operational performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to refine product roadmaps, assess opportunities for efficiency, and prioritize workflows for better execution.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Provide ongoing mentorship, training, and leadership development for the team and aspiring leaders within the technology organization.
- Foster a collaborative, “no ego” environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning.
Operational Excellence & Process Automation:
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, reducing operational costs and improving service levels across the organization.
- Drive initiatives to streamline workflows, enhance platform performance, and ensure technology resources are used efficiently.
Performance Monitoring & Metrics:
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the technology organization and highlight opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure performance metrics are communicated to cross-functional stakeholders, emphasizing transparency and accountability.
Platform Management & Uptime Reliability:
- Oversee the optimization of all technology platforms, including on-premise, cloud, and third-party systems, ensuring they are fully optimized and aligned with business objectives.
- Implement and maintain robust alert systems and escalation procedures to support service-level agreements (SLAs) and maximize platform uptime.
Technology Integration & M&A Support:
- Lead technical due diligence and provide post-acquisition support during mergers and acquisitions, ensuring seamless integration of technology assets.
- Oversee the resource planning and technology optimization required during and after acquisitions to maintain operational continuity.
Compliance & Security Oversight:
- Ensure strict adherence to data security and compliance policies, particularly around PII, HIPAA, CCPA, TCPA, CAN-SPAM, and GDPR regulations.
- Continuously assess security risks and ensure technology platforms are compliant with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
Cost Management & Budget Optimization:
- Analyze and manage the technology budget, focusing on optimizing staffing, platform costs, and IT-related expenses.
- Identify and implement cost-saving strategies to improve the overall financial performance of the technology organization.
Technology Stack Optimization:
- Drive the optimization of the company’s technology stack, including full-stack development in C# (.Net / .Net Core) within Microsoft environments.
- Oversee continuous improvements to front-end technologies (React, Blazer, JavaScript) and database systems (SQL, MongoDB, Cosmos), ensuring they are fully optimized for business needs.
Communication & Collaboration:
- Facilitate clear communication between the technology team, business leaders, and end users to ensure alignment and transparency in technology decisions.
- Serve as the liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring technology initiatives support business priorities.
What You'll Bring
Required Skills & Experience:
- Progressive experience in software development, with a background of advancing through various technical and leadership roles.
- Proven experience optimizing technology solutions and driving operational efficiency in mid to large-scale enterprises.
- Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including pipelines, testing, automation, and release/rollback strategies.
- Expertise in full-stack development: C# (.Net / .Net Core) within Microsoft environments and tools.
- Strong knowledge of front-end technologies including React, Blazer, and JavaScript.
- Experience managing databases such as SQL, MongoDB, and CosmosDB.
- Familiarity with Microsoft’s Modern Workplace tools (Office 365, Teams, Planner, Dynamics CRM) and JIRA/Confluence for project management.
- Demonstrated experience with Web, Mobile, and Hybrid solutions.
- Strong understanding of security & compliance policies concerning PII, HIPAA, CCPA, TCPA, CAN-SPAM, and GDPR regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive leadership experience in optimizing technology systems within complex, highly regulated environments.
- Demonstrated ability to reduce operational expenses while improving service delivery and overall platform performance.
- Experience in providing technology leadership and integration support during M&A activities.
- Demonstrated experience in developing software solutions for business programs and projects in both B2B and B2C environments.
- Knowledge of Zuora subscription billing is a plus.
- Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML) applications is a plus.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, business, or related field from an accredited university, advanced technical education from a recognized program, OR demonstrated technical knowledge and equivalent work experience.
