Senior Software Engineer
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will get to explore and work with cutting-edge technologies and a large and rich data set. What You'll do:
- Design, develop and maintain high quality web applications using React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript, adhering to best practices and coding standards
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to contribute to the design and evolution of scalable applications, ensuring scalability, reliability and performance
- Work with RESTful APIs, GraphQL and integrate with external services, ensuring data consistency, robustness and security
- Building responsive user interfaces with advanced Sass and CSS, creating reusable UI components
- Guide junior members of the team in planning and execution of work, conducting code reviews and sharing knowledge
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks in applications, optimizing code and cloud infrastructure as needed
- Design and architect cloud-native solutions on GCP and AWS, implementing CI/CD pipelines
- Work with databases like MongoDB and Redis, optimizing performance and scalability
- Write unit and integration tests using Jest/Cypress and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and reliability
- Investigate and resolve issues reported in production, providing timely solutions to ensure system availability
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to frontend development, cloud technologies, and system architecture
What you bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent from a premier institution
- 7+ years of experience in software development, with 5+ years focused on React
- Proficiency in React, TypeScript/JavaScript (ES6+), Sass/SCSS, Redux, and Webpack
- Solid understanding of frontend principles, responsive design, and system architecture best practices
- Proficiency in working with RESTful APIs and GraphQL
- 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms (GCP/AWS) and cloud-native architectures
- Must be able to work independently and deliver excellent results in short timelines
- Technically lead and mentor juniors in the team, and drive planning and execution of work
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with experience in high-traffic applications
- Experience with backend technologies (Node.js, Python, or Java) and microservices architecture
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
