As a People Analytics, Data Scientist, you will leverage people data and research to solve business problems. You will play a key role in developing our Enterprise HR Analytics capability. You will create and implement processes focused on strategic measurement and reporting of Enterprise Human Capital metrics. To this end, you will help to ensure Zoominfo has the insights, diversity, and capability to inform future talent mobility across the organization.

The People Scientist will be responsible for drawing people insights from large data sets, defining and implementing key people Performance Indicators, and for communicating key insights and global trends to influence the strategic direction of business, as it relates to employees. This role will assist in managing all related data across the Enterprise and be responsible to work closely with business stakeholders on measurement, diversity metrics, and analytics. Effectiveness in this position will require an understanding of talent industry trends, business objectives, and workforce dynamics. You will use data to develop people insights, forecasts, metrics, dashboards and recommendations to inform decisions about our talent and people strategy.

Essential Job Functions

  • Partner with the Business on HR data measurement and analytic needs and translate them into a vision/strategy/plan for delivering actionable results, while providing innovative feedback to ensure these solutions leverage the full potential of best practices around the company
  • Manage and support input and submissions of internal qualitative instruments (surveys, etc.)
  • Develop analytic capabilities (e.g. models and processes) that improve employee experience and engagement, increase employee retention as well as provide data driven and compassionate guidance to leadership
  • Translate and summarize data into written reports, tables, graphs, dashboards and charts to convey information to management
  • Drive business value by transforming data and analytics into actionable business insights to guide strategic decisions
  • Create and present high-impact data visualizations, communications, and data "stories" alongside clear, compelling recommendations
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas/findings clearly and concisely. Use a combination of internal and external data to generate insights about talent strategy
  • Research future trends and develop global insights and intelligence for the executive offices
  • Collaborate across the company to understand HR needs, uncover questions, align perspectives, and use data to inform Zoominfo’s Corporate talent strategy
  • Develop, implement, and update an end-to-end HR measurement and analytics processes to include technology, data, process, and frameworks
  • Coordinate with and provide support to enterprise Talent Analytics on HR related components of tools, technology, deliverables and processes to ensure a unified analytics approach and message
  • Learn & stay current on analytics developments in the people analytics space, including retention/attrition modeling, Graph/Network analysis, causal modeling, bias in AI as applied to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) use cases
  • Report findings that drive key HR decisions by creating useful and appropriate data outputs and visualizations tailored for the intended audiences
  • Generate innovative ideas, establish new research directions, shape and execute the information strategy in support of technical projects and new product developments
  • Provide guidance and thought leadership for junior members of the People Analytics to establish a community of practice.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Master's Degree in STEM related field.
  • 3+ years of experience with program or project management
  • 3+ years of experience using metrics, data, and/or analytics to inform business decisions and/or strategies
  • 3+ years of experience in DEI, Workforce Planning, People / Talent Analytics, HR, Market Research / Marketing, HR / People Strategy, Project/Program Management, and/or HR Consulting / Learning Analytics
  • 2+ years of experience leading DEI data and analytics for a business unit or enterprise
  • 2+ years of experience conducting research and/or data analysis in an organization or consulting environment, including formulating questions with customers, collecting and analyzing data, generating insights, and sharing results with various types of audiences
  • Possess skills and experience related to preparation, manipulation, analysis, and visualization tools such as R, Python, SQL, and Tableau

Preferred requirements

  • Doctoral degree in a business, quantitative (STEM), or social science field (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Industrial Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Economics, Management, HR, Marketing)
  • Possess skills and experience related to preparation, manipulation, analysis, and visualization tools such as R, Python, SQL, and Tableau
  • Familiarity with designing and setting up intuitive data visuals and dashboards
  • Experience with economic data

The US base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $140,000 + bonus + benefits.
