The responsibilities of this opportunity include:
1.Determine where in our infrastructure we should house our data based on the use case and data model
2.Develop necessary data models working with various teams as required who will be providers/consumers of the data.
3.SQL query design, creation, optimization, continuous improvement of efficiency.
4.Develop ETL/ELT to move data into our consolidated data lake or data warehouse with experience on Airflow/cronjobs/etc.
5.Consolidate/join datasets to create easily consumable, performant, and consistent information
6.Look for ways to automate processes currently performed manually to improve department efficiency
7.Creates and maintains documentation for business end users and other data analysts.

A successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

1.Degree (Masters preferred) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and 5+ years of experience in data engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2.Hands-on experience in Python or equivalent programming language
3.Strong SQL abilities and hands-on experience with SQL and no-SQL DBs, performing analysis and performance optimizations.
4.Experience with data warehouse solutions (like Bigquery/ Redshift/ Snowflake)
5.Experience with data modeling, data catalog concepts, data formats, data pipelines/ETL design, implementation and maintenance.
6.Experience with Airflow and DBT/similar technologies
7.Available for on-call and/or after-hours support as needed
8.Google Cloud experience or AWS, expertise in one
9.Experience with Git/Github or other version control systems
