Location
This is a hybrid role based out of our San Francisco, CA or New York, NY office. Our team works in-office time on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain reliable backend systems, integrating them with credit card, banking, and merchant platforms for comprehensive workflow chargeback management.
- Scale and generalize the system for growth, ensuring it is highly configurable and flexible to reduce the time to go live and support a broad range of use cases.
- Architect and develop robust architectural patterns for microservices.
- Design and implement core frameworks and libraries for various backend services, promoting code reuse and maintainability.
- Take ownership of upgrading coding practices, CI/CD pipelines, deployed systems, backend programming languages, and third-party dependencies to enhance system performance and security.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement in our platform's infrastructure and systems, implementing optimizations that enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
- Own the end-to-end development and deployment of key features, including decision-making around technology stack and system design to ensure optimal implementation.
What You’ve Done
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years focused on using Go or Java in production environments.
- Demonstrated experience working on platform teams and contributing significantly to system architecture.
- Led an end-to-end implementation of a key product feature or re-architecture/upgrading of a key platform service.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong understanding of fundamentals, algorithms, data structures, and industry design patterns.
- Experience mentoring junior team members and leading project teams as the sole tech lead.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Compensation
The base pay range for this role is $170,000 – $220,000 per year.
Casap's compensation package includes a competitive base salary benchmarked against real-time market data, as well as equity for all full-time roles. We also offer exceptional benefits, as well as bonuses and commission plans for applicable roles. The listed US-based compensation range is a guideline and may be modified. Final compensation will vary based on market conditions, geographic location, and candidate qualifications, including relevant knowledge, skills, and experience assessed during the interview process.
