As the Senior Director of Product Design, Platform, you will be a key leader responsible for overseeing and driving the strategic vision and execution of product design across our organization's platform offerings. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, user research, and marketing, to create innovative and user-centric experiences that meet the needs of our customers and drive business growth.

Your primary focus will be on defining and implementing design strategies for our platform products, ensuring consistency, usability, and aesthetic appeal throughout the entire product ecosystem. As a seasoned design leader, you will lead and mentor a team of talented product designers, fostering their growth and promoting a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Design Strategy and Vision
• Develop and communicate a compelling design vision and strategy for our platform products, aligning with the overall company goals and market trends.
• Collaborate with executives, stakeholders, and product teams to ensure design alignment with business objectives and user needs.
• Team Leadership and Management
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of product designers, DeS designers and managers, fostering a positive and high-performing design culture.
• Higher exceptional designers who can contribute to and keep building upon our design culture and driving further great design standards across the product.
• Product Design Execution
• Set high standards for design excellence and maintain consistency across the platform products.
• Cultivate a data-driven design approach by actively engaging the team with data analytics, usability insights, and other funnel data to inspire new design directions
• Cross-functional Collaboration
• Collaborate closely with teams and individuals across each of the Pillars to ensure adoption of any given design vision.
• Champion the importance of design in the decision-making process and advocate for the best user experience.
• Design System and Standards
• Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure the design system is effectively implemented and consistently used throughout the product ecosystem.
• Work with internal partners to define the long-term strategy for the design system's evolution, ensuring efficiency and speed.
• User Research and Data-Driven Insights
• Work closely with user researchers to gather insights and validate strategic decisions.
• Develop strong value-based metrics and goals that guide the iterative learning and delivery model to validate solutions to the most important customer problems as they evolve over time.

We’d love to chat if you have:

• 15+ years of experience in Product Design serving products and platforms used by a technical audience
• 8+ years managing including multi-layered organization
• 5+ years working on internal platforms
• Proven track record of successfully leading and managing design teams and driving product design strategy.
• An outstanding portfolio demonstrating design strategy & design works that influenced business outcomes.
• A passion for building great technical products that solve customer problems
• A growth mindset based in curiosity and data-driven learning approaches
• A get-stuff-done attitude propelled by a strong sense of accountability and a positive self-starter energy
• Experience crafting a compelling product vision demonstrating the ability to think strategically.
• Demonstrated ability to balance user needs with business goals to deliver impactful products.
• Experience driving impact through cross-functional teams by facilitating critical conversations and making hard prioritization choices
• Deep understanding of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product design.
• Experience in sales, support, and design systems is a strong plus
• Exceptional written, verbal communication and analytical skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
