Make your impact within a rapidly growing Fintech Company
We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic leader to oversee one of our successful BDR teams. We are looking for someone passionate about BDR strategy, rep development, and bottom-of-funnel impact. This candidate will report directly to the Sr. Manager of Sales Development.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop and execute career development and leadership plans for direct reports; inclusive of but not limited to daily 1:1 mentoring, coaching on time management, objection handling, prospecting tactics, and active listening skills.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the performance of the BDR team, ensuring consistent achievement of KPIs.
- Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for BDRs, equipping them with the necessary skills in prospecting, lead qualification, and effective communication to drive successful prospect and customer engagements.
- Enhance BDR efficiencies by consistently evaluating processes and workflows, leveraging feedback and data analysis to streamline lead generation, pipeline management, qualification, and handoff to the sales team.
- Foster strong collaboration with sales, marketing, and BDR leadership to align BDR efforts with overall organizational goals, ensuring seamless lead handoff and effective communication between departments.
- Utilize data to generate insightful reports on BDR performance, providing regular updates to senior management and leveraging data-driven insights to refine strategies.
- Stay up to date with emerging sales technologies and strategies, tools, and work to integrate relevant strategies and processes that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the BDR team's activities.
- Set clear and measurable goals for the BDR team, regularly monitoring progress and implementing corrective actions as needed to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
What you’ll need:
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a high-performing BDR team, fostering a positive and motivated work environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively present to and collaborate with internal teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data and metrics to drive decision-making and continuously optimize BDR processes for maximum efficiency.
- A results-oriented mindset with a history of consistently meeting and exceeding performance targets. Proven ability to drive a sense of urgency and accountability within the team.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a proactive and innovative approach to overcoming challenges and introducing new ideas to enhance BDR performance. Effectively manage through change.
- A collaborative and team-oriented mindset, promoting open communication and cross-functional collaboration with sales, marketing, and other relevant departments to achieve shared organizational objectives.
- Clear understanding and expertise in BDR strategy, market dynamics, and customer behaviors through the sales funnel. Ability to coach BDR teams around these things in a way that drives meaningful impact.
Nice-to-haves:
- Possess experience with financial services sales in a full cycle sales role.
- Valuable experience at a high-growth startup with proven prior success.
- Previous Business Development leadership experience initiatives within the technology sector.

The On Target Earnings (OTE) range for this role is noted below for our office location in Draper, UT. This role is eligible to participate in BILL’s sales incentive and equity plans. Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.
