Our team’s mission is to build a world-class platform for data analytics and machine learning to fuel existing and new business critical initiatives. As a member of our team you would be designing and scaling our platform, tackling big data challenges and working closely with other teams in deriving insights from data. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with architects, data scientists, analysts and product managers to understand their data requirements and translate them into design
- Build scalable data frameworks required to support data science, analytics, streaming pipelines
- Own the data quality, efficiency and automation of data pipelines
- Partner with different teams within the company to drive data driven projects
We’d love to chat if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
- 5+ years of professional experience with 3 years of experience in data and cloud platforms
- Proficiency in SQL and one high-level programming language ( Python, Scala, Java ) is required
- Experience with one or more batch and real time data frameworks such as Apache Spark, Flink, AWS Glue, AWS EMR, Kinesis, Airflow, DBT etc. is required
- Experience with one or more SQL and NoSQL data stores such as S3 (Parquet, Iceberg), Redshift, Snowflake, Dynamodb, Postgres etc. is required
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation etc. is a plus

This role is based in California.
The estimated base salary range for this role is noted below for our office location in San Jose, CA. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in BILL’s bonus and equity plan. Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.
