Lead Platform Product Manager

Betterworks is seeking an experienced Platform Product Manager who can take our application and data platforms to the next level. A Product Manager at Betterworks has “full stack” product responsibilities, working alongside our design, engineering, customer success, and sales teams to build an incredible product. We are looking for someone who can straddle the technical aspects of building enterprise SaaS applications and data platform tools while solving problems with the user’s perspective in mind.
What You'll Do
● A broad portfolio of technical product areas that underpin the foundation of the Betterworks application
● Collaborating with very senior, highly technical engineers to quickly and iteratively deliver value for our enterprise customers
● Conducting day-to-day product manager responsibilities in an agile, scrum-based environment
● Collaborating with other product managers to understand and manage cross-product dependencies
● Collaborating with Customer Success and Sales to understand the broad needs of our customers and prospects
● Presenting to and engaging with customers and prospects
● Presenting everything from your strategic vision for your product area to your quarterly roadmap to the broader company including the executive team
What We Look For
○ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, or any related field
○ Prior experience in a technical role, preferably as an engineer
○ Minimum of five years of experience in product management
○ Experience in an Enterprise B2B SaaS growth-stage company
● Experience building enterprise SaaS platforms including some combination of experience across these areas
○ Understanding of access control systems: RBAC, ABAC, etc
○ Understanding of field-level security systems
○ Understanding of enterprise workflow systems
○ Understanding of enterprise org and user data structures and their relationships
○ Understanding of multi-language, SaaS translation systems
● Engagement
○ High level of self-engagement, project ownership, responsiveness, and accountability, and drive to deliver outstanding outcomes as a team
○ Leadership and management skills are essential for collaborating with highly technical engineering pods and managing multiple projects/products
○ Willingness to grow into more senior roles is a plus
● Skills
○ Great interpersonal and communication skills, including communication with customers and industry experts
○ Particularly good at explaining highly technical concepts to non-technical people
○ Practical SQL knowledge with the ability to use SQL to debug and solve customer issues, etc
○ Problem-solving skills are crucial
○ Excellent research and analytical skills
○ Solid technical acumen
