What You’ll Be Doing
Betterworks Integrations are connections between Betterworks and the other third party applications where our customers use every day. Betterworks focuses on making these integrations seamless to manage performance.
We're seeking a talented and experienced Technical Lead to join our growing Integrations team who will lead and manage the development and implementation of software integrations across HRIS, Learning Management Systems (LMS), Skill Management Systems, Talent Management Systems, Workflow Automation, and other relevant HR Management platforms.
This position offers a leadership opportunity in building and keeping up connections between ours and different third party applications.
As a Technical Lead at Betterworks you will be responsible for developing an enterprise-class continuous performance management system. You will,

Be responsible for building and launching software integrations that connect HR information systems (HRIS), Learning Management Systems (LMS), Skill Management Systems, Talent Management Systems, workflow automation tools, and other relevant HR & Talent Management platforms.

Find the edge cases and debugging the code using AWS log insights

Collaborate with product managers, engineers, to understand system requirements and translate them into high-level system architecture.

Design and document system architecture diagrams, including system components, their interactions, and data flows.

Analyze system performance bottlenecks and propose solutions for scalability and optimization.

Design and develop a comprehensive integration platform to facilitate seamless communication between various internal and external systems

Lead the development and execution of complex integrations, tackling challenges with innovative solutions.

Identify and prioritize technical debt items within the integration landscape, formulating a plan for remediation and implementing solutions to improve code quality and maintainability.

Foster a culture of accountability and ownership within the integration team, driving a high level of quality and efficiency.

Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

Generate high-quality Technical Design Documents for future reference and knowledge transfer.

Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in HR & Talent Management system integrations.

Manage your delivery commitments within the relevant sprints to ensure timely and quality delivery of solutions.
What’ll Help You Be Successful
-
Educational Background and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) with 7+ years of software development experience, focusing on enterprise-level integrations.

Architecture: Proven experience in leading and architecting integration platforms, with in-depth knowledge of integration patterns, methodologies, and best practices.

Technical Expertise: Proficiency in multiple programming languages (Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go) and frameworks (React, NestJS, Django, Node.js).

Domain Knowledge: Good to have knowledge in HRIS, LMS, Skill Management Systems, Talent Management Systems, Workflow Automation tools, and APIs.

Microservices and Event-Driven Architectures: Familiarity with microservices architecture and its integration with event-driven architectures, along with strong data mapping and transformation techniques.

DevOps and Cloud Technologies: Working experience with AWS Lambdas, Kafka, Kong, Kubernetes, Docker, and Agile development practices.

Collaboration and Communication: Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience in collaborating with designers, product managers, and other developers.

Coding and Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Active participation in code reviews, testing, and debugging code independently and collaboratively.
