We are hiring a Staff Demo Engineer to build the infrastructure ASAPP's Solution Engineering team uses to win deals. You will design and evolve the prototypes, sandboxes, and integrations that bring CXP and GenerativeAgent to life for prospects, and set the technical bar for the team.

Most of your time will go to advanced configuration of our Customer Experience Platform (CXP) and full-stack code, using AI-assisted development with Claude Code, the Anthropic API, MCP servers, A2A, and tool-use patterns. Your output is prototype-grade, but must feel real enough to anchor an enterprise buying conversation.

You will join customer engagements as needed, mentor junior Demo Engineers, enable Solution Engineers, and help scale this function.

This role suits an engineer with about ten years in software development, including four years supporting marketing or sales (Demo Engineer, Technical Marketing Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solution Engineer).

What you'll do

    Build the demo platform

  • Maintain demo environments on CXP: pre-configured GenerativeAgents, mock contact-center backends, simulated CRM and billing systems, and the front-ends that show them off.

  • Customize demos by industry (telco, financial services, travel, retail, healthcare) with realistic data and workflows.

  • Own the reusable scaffolding (shared components, seed data, mock services, deployment scripts) so Solution Engineers can stand up tailored demos in hours.

  • Prototype for live opportunities

  • Build proof-of-concept integrations with Solution Engineers against a prospect's stack (Salesforce, ServiceNow, Genesys, Twilio, custom APIs).

  • Turn vague customer requirements into working prototypes that show feasibility without becoming production code.

  • Join customer engagements as needed and explain your work clearly to both technical and business audiences.

  • Set the AI-coding standard

  • Use Claude Code, the Anthropic API, and MCP to ship faster than feels reasonable.

  • Build internal MCP servers so demo agents can call into mock systems and prospect environments.

  • Establish patterns, prompts, tool-use recipes, and eval setups across Solution Engineering.

  • Mentor and scale the team

  • Mentor junior Demo Engineers on prototyping, AI-assisted development, and customer communication.

  • Pair on hard problems, review code, and unblock the team.

  • Help hire future Demo Engineers and partner with Sales leadership on go-to-market alignment.

What you'll need

  • About ten years of software development experience, with a record of shipping end to end.

  • About four of those years in an engineering role supporting marketing or sales (Demo Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solution Engineer, Technical Marketing Engineer, or equivalent).

  • Comfort across the stack: a credible front-end (React or similar) and back-end (Python, PHP, Node.js).

  • Hands-on use of Claude Code or a similar agentic coding tool, with direct experience using the Anthropic API and building or extending MCP servers.

  • Twilio or Genesys Studio fluency, or similar.

  • Strong product instincts: you know when “good enough to demo” is the right bar.

  • Experience mentoring junior engineers.

  • Excellent communication in customer-facing settings (deep-dives, walkthroughs, executive briefings), in fluent professional English.

  • Based in Bengaluru or Chennai.

What we'd like to see

  • Conversational AI, contact center, CCaaS, IVR, or ASR experience.

  • Building agents, RAG systems, or LLM-powered applications.

  • Integrating enterprise systems (Salesforce, ServiceNow, Genesys, Twilio, Zendesk, REST or GraphQL APIs).

  • Front-end polish: design sensibility, component libraries, Figma.

  • Regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, telecom).

  • Growing a Solution Engineering, Demo Engineering, or pre-sales technical function.
