Researchers at ASAPP work to fundamentally advance the science of NLP and ML toward our goal of deploying domain specific real-world AI solutions, and to apply those advances to our products. They leverage the massive amounts of data generated by our products, and our ability to deploy AI features into real-world use to ask and address fundamental research questions in novel ways.
We are expanding our AI Modeling team and are looking for candidates with masters or PhD degrees, research experience in NLP or machine learning, outstanding communication skills, and strong software engineering skills. What you’ll do
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including design, product, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Lead the end-to-end development process of complex web applications using Golang
- Work on complex distributed systems.
- Write clean code and follow best coding practices.
- Focus on delivering great user experiences
- Communicate with other teams to deliver a unified and consistent UX across all of our applications
- Collaborate to take our development to the next level: bring new ideas, frameworks, technologies and best practices
- Contribute to the growth of the team by engaging in the recruiting process
- Stay up to date with the latest technologies and share your knowledge as appropriate
- Participate in team discussions and perform high quality code reviews.
- Contribute to an on-call rotation for technical support, ensuring the reliability and availability of our systems
What you’ll need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- At least 6 - 9 years of back-end software development experience
- Advanced GoLang or similar programming language experience ( Python, Java)
- Experience working with distributed systems, cloud services (we use AWS), dockerized environments, and familiarity with CI/CD tools
- Excellent architectural skills, with proven experience in designing complex software systems.
