As a foundational member of our FP&A team, you will partner with finance & accounting and business leaders to develop and deliver forecasts and reporting that will help to drive meaningful business decisions. This role requires a combination of heads down data analysis and effective communication skills that frame findings and provide for alternative solutions.
The ideal candidate will have the ability and desire to: wear many hats throughout the course of a day, be comfortable making contributions that span from detailed analysis to executive-level summation, and interact across all levels and functions of the organization. This is a crucial hire and one that requires an individual to be a high-level strategic thinker as well as a rollup-the-sleeves doer. What you'll do

  • Partner and work closely with Finance/Accounting and cross-functional teammates to deliver full P&L and cash forecasts, including variance analysis, on a regular basis
  • Play a key role in the financial planning, forecasting, quarterly snapshots, reporting and monthly close processes
  • Partner with leaders across the business to drive better performance and data driven decision-making
  • Ensure budget owners have full visibility on how they are performing against their budgets, clearly identifying and articulating key opportunities and risks to plan
  • Work closely with functional teammates on vendor negotiations & maintaining relationships
  • Develop and improve policies, processes, procedures, and help define scalable financial systems strategy
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as needed to support business needs
  • Prep financial materials for a wide variety of presentations for the leadership team and board
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial operations
  • Lead initiatives to refine processes and implement technologies to streamline financial operations

What you'll need

  • Minimum of 4+ years of relevant work experience with a preference for a mix of start-up and enterprise exposure
  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
  • Advanced Excel, Google Sheets, and financial modeling skills
  • Foundational understanding of Accounting rules and regulations
  • Ability to work under pressure, continually reprioritize, and navigate ambiguity when needed
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and continuous improvement mindset
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and critical thinking skills
  • Analytical and detail-oriented work style
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to create effective, deep and successful working relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Customer driven focus and service mindset
  • Ability for end-to-end process thinking
  • A curiosity regarding new SaaS and FinTech technologies that can improve financial operations

What we'd like to see

  • Based in NYC with a desire to work out of our office in 1 World Trade 3+ days per week
  • Big 4 Transaction Services or Valuation experience
  • Project management and process design, and financial modeling experience
  • ERP accounting system and other financial analysis tools experience preferred
  • Anaplan, Hyperion, or Pigment experience preferred
