About AIUC
Agents are being deployed into hospitals, banks, and governments today. Soon there will be more agent-to-agent interactions than human-to-human interactions. The world needs a gold standard for AI safety, security, and reliability. That standard is AIUC-1, and building it is our mission.
Our mission is to underwrite superintelligence. We evaluate, certify, and insure AI agents, giving high-growth AI companies the credibility to earn their customers' trust. Over time, we will do the same for foundation models and data centers.
Our team comes from Anthropic, McKinsey, METR, Weights & Biases, Perplexity, and the Thiel Fellowship. We have raised $15M led by Nat Friedman, Emergence, and Terrain, with backing from Anthropic co-founder Ben Mann and ex-CISOs at Google Cloud and MongoDB.
The role
You will be the backbone of AIUC and offload the founders with systems, processes, relationships, and financial controls. The right person for this role finds genuine satisfaction in enabling others and takes pride in setting up smooth processes and operations that few people notice.
In practice this means, you will:
Own financial operations: budgeting, expenses, payroll, and financial/ investor reporting
Run HR and people operations: onboarding, offboarding, contracts, and HR systems
Manage vendor relationships, contracts, legal ops, and office management
Identify where processes are broken or missing and fix them before they become problems
Over time, expand into business operations, financial reporting, etc
What we're looking for
Someone who wants to deliver real impact and ownership. We think you’ll be successful if you have:
2–3 years of experience in IB/ finance/ consulting — smart and detail-obsessed, moves with urgency, and communicates with structure
Clear, direct communication and self-starter mentality — you turn complex operational problem into a clear actionable next steps and bring people along with you in the process
Low ego, with no task being beneath you. You’re obsessed with large and small problems, and thrive to find solutions to pain points. You thrive seeing the company win and the team doing their life's work
You curiously think about how to leverage AI in doing so.
Comfortable in ambiguity: you can context switch between strategic financial reporting for the Board, as much as figuring out why the HVAC isn't working and managing a new office move, delivering the same quality across all projects
