Role Summary

This is an opportunity to join Adaptive as the second Product Designer, playing a crucial role in crafting user-centered experiences that redefine the built environment. With a focus on design excellence, you’ll collaborate with a dedicated product team, including a product manager, staff engineer, and a team of skilled engineers to deliver intuitive and engaging solutions. In this role, own the end-to-end design process for a dedicated product area, contributing hands-on design work while also helping to shape the growing design discipline at Adaptive.

Responsibilities

• Rely on user-centered design to create a product that will reshape the built environment, working directly with the founders from concept to execution

• Collaborate directly with our team of engineers and product managers to translate product requirements into intuitive solutions

• Advocate for product designs, improvements, and workflows based on your granular understanding of our customers and their needs

• Rough time split: 50% design production work, 30% user research, 20% growing the design discipline at Adaptive

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in B2B SaaS or fintech product design

• Experience collaborating across multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, product managers, and customer success

• Demonstrated ability to discover design requirements unique to your customer base

• Ability to lead and ideate software products and features from scratch

• Comfortable working in an unstructured, dynamic environment
